Managing Director and Chairman
Early experience gained at a leading construction firm and in a pioneer engineering consultancy firm in Sri Lanka. Subsequently he worked in Colombo at two leading Architectural firms as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and as a Chief Quantity Surveyor.
In 1981 he joined Barker and Barton (Seychelles)-(Colombo office) Chartered Quantity Surveyors as a Quantity Surveyor.
From 1986 to 1987 he worked in the Sultanate of Oman on an assignment to a leading construction firm. In 1987 returned to Barker and Barton (Lanka) as the Resident Director.
From 1989 to 1993 he worked at a leading construction firm in Botswana as a Quantity Surveyor/Branch Manager.
From 1993 to 1995 he worked as a Consultant Quantity Surveyor in Sri Lanka until formation of Cost Engineering Services.
He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Association of Cost Engineers in the United Kingdom as well as a registered member of Institute of Quantity Surveyors Sri Lanka.
Chartered Quantity Surveyor
Early experience gained at a pioneer semi government consultancy established for construction. He left government service to join the private sector as a senior quantity surveyor at a leading construction company and subsequently became the chief quantity surveyor.
Gained international experience in the Sultanate of Oman working for a multifaceted British contractor for five years in the capacity of Project Senior QS. Moved to the United Arab Emirates and joined one of the largest British contracting firms in the region as a senior project quantity surveyor for 3 years, handled a six tower residential apartment complex comprising 1100 houses costing USD.0.27 billion.
Returned to Sri Lanka in 2003 and worked as a freelance Quantity surveyor for one year until joining Cost Engineering services Ltd, as a Director.
He is a Cooperate member of the Institute of Quantity Surveyors of Sri Lanka.

Chartered Quantity Surveyor
Early experience gained at the State Engineering Corporation. From 1975 to 1976 worked in Sultanate of Oman as a Quantity Surveyor attached to a leading British construction firm operating in Oman. In 1976 returned to State Engineering Corporation. In 1979 joined the Building Materials Corporation as a Quantity Surveyor and within a year promoted to the post of Assistant Manager Engineering Services, in-charge of the QS section.
From 1982 to 1992 worked in State of Bahrain attached to the Works directorate of the Ministry of Works, Power and Water as a Quantity Surveyor. In 1993 joined a leading architectural practice as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and within a year promoted as the Chief Quantity Surveyor of the architectural practice and as the Manager Construction of the construction company, a subsidiary of that architectural practice. In 1997 employed with Dar Al Handasah Consultant (DAR), a leading architectural and engineering firm in Dubai, as a Senior Quantity Surveyor. From 2006 to 2009 worked as Senior Contracts Manager at Nakeel, the main real estate development arm of the Dubai government. In 2009 re-joined DAR as Senior Contracts Administrator. Joined Cost Engineering Services in February 2011.
He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Construction Law and Arbitration and is also a professional Member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors and the Institute of Quantity Surveyor of Sri Lanka, as well as a Fellow of the Quantity Surveyors International, and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators
